Out The Box Learning Centre was started due to the growing need for an adaptive approach in educating children. Many children fall through the gaps in a typical curriculum, due to their differences in behaviour, cognition or various other challenges they are facing. As a society we tend to focus on the negative, of what our children can’t do and are not achieving. What we should be looking at; is what they excel in and reinforcing their unique talents, while helping them grasp the concepts that are difficult for them.
Our aim is to develop each child to be able to function independently and socially with confidence. We want our children to have happy, constructive days at our Centre in an environment that is relaxed, positive and supportive. We endeavour to enhance the strengths and abilities of our children and improve on the challenges they experience on a daily basis. We hope to put some fun back into their days and to help them reach their full potential.

“If a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn”,
Ignacio Estrada

What program do we offer?

Since our children are unique and “Out The Box”, please bare in mind that we develop their own programs and thus not all children fall into specific streams. We have, however, identified three streams according to children’s needs that we work around.

Assisted Academic Program:
The Assisted Academic Program allows children who are registered with a home-school provider, to utilise our facilities and equipment. In addition, they have the opportunity to be incorporated into the social activities of the day.
Functional Academic Program:
With our Functional Academic Program, we endeavour to help children learn practical and functional life skills, along with social skills, in order for them to become more independent.
Non-Curriculum Based Program:
The Non-Curriculum Based Program focuses on behavioural management skills, exposure to socialisation and assistance with certain areas due to a spectrum based challenge.

“Everyday and everywhere, our children spread their dreams beneath our feet and we should tread softly”,
